• The Sunday Afternoon Music Series presents Brandy, Leif & Neil

Sunday, January 12, 2020 2:00 PM-3:00 PM Main (Oakland)
Brandy Irish (vocals and keyboards) began playing the organ when she was seven years old which led to her attending The Berklee School of Music in Boston. Since then she has spent her life as a band leader, choir director, and jazz musician.
Leif Gerjuoy (vocals and percussion) grew up mostly in the Pittsburgh area where his fascination with banging on stuff led him to play all things percussion, from drums and washboard to the vibraphone and the piano.
When Neil Gerjuoy (vocals and guitar) was seven years old, he heard a recording of Andres Segovia playing the classical guitar and he was hooked. After several years of classical lessons, Neil encountered blues and jazz being played on the electric guitar and was rehooked. He has been an active musician on both coasts of the country, absorbing a great many influences and styles along the way.

Together, these three fine musicians explore the roots of American blues and jazz. Join us for an hour of live music sure to warm up a wintry Sunday!
